Unlike "Brotherhood," New Order's follow-up album "Technique' was not a rushed affair. "Technique" is well-written and well- produced. The acoustic and electronic songs are equally glossy, and a balance is struck between the two styles. "Fine Time," an uptempo song flavored with acid house, was chosen for the first single. It kept New Order atop the dance-oriented and club charts. The second single was "Round & Round," which was another dance club hit.
